Curing Your Acne and Skin Issues
It’s not that long ago since I was a teenager, and I know that finding effective acne treatments didn’t fill me with excitement. But unfortunately it’s something most if us have to do. In some cases we can find a doctor who actually cares enough to help. Most of us have had at least one person telling us to wash our faces since we were born. For most of us, face washing is much more of a chore than anything else and it is not usually something we want to make time for. Most of us spent our teenage years stressing out over breakouts and acne and, even so, as adults we still grumble about washing our faces, especially in the evening. Here’s the thing: you need to keep your face clean to keep dirt and bacteria from infecting your pores. Are you prepared to be the only adult you know who still fights acne every day? Here is how you keep your face clean and keep acne away.
The reason there is such a large range of acne products is because we all have different requirements. Everybody has different skin requirements, and so need a unique solution. Keep your linens clean. It might surprise you to learn that there are some people who choose not to wash their linens regularly. If you are constantly experiencing breakouts, try not to be one of these people. Instead you should make the time to clean your bedding-especially your pillowcases-every couple of days. This will help you make sure that excess dirt and debris will have a harder time finding their way into your face while you sleep. Make sure you always wear clean clothes and pajamas. It seems silly, but if you are prone to breakouts, sometimes all it takes to start a fresh one is wearing the same shirt a couple of days in a row. Taking a recommendation from a friend is not necessarily a good idea. Go see a doctor. They see lots of acne patients every year – draw on their experience to find the best acne treatment for you. Get a dermatologist to help you. Sadly, some people suffer from acne that is so severe that “regular” acne treatments simply will not work. If nothing in the store is doing the trick, then you might need a qualified professional to help you treat your acne and breakouts. Your dermatologist will be able to help you figure out a skin care routine that works and might end up giving you a prescription for extra strength cleansers and acne fighting products. Your doctor might even find that something else (besides simple clogged pores) is causing your acne flare ups. You might be surprised to find out that genetics and other health conditions can come into play and cause acne issues. Your dermatologist will give you an exam to help figure out the exact cause of your acne and how to properly fight against it.
Wash your face at least two times every day. We can even get clogged pores in our sleep. You should have a cleaning routine for your skin that you do in the morning and at night. The routine in the morning does not have to be as extensive as your evening routine (when you are washing away the wear of the day) but you should do at least some gentle cleansing in the mornings. You’ll send that acne packing!
There are lots of ways to keep your skin clean and free of oil and acne. Some people are able to fight acne simply by washing their face twice a day. Someone else might need a more invasive facial cleanser. Some prefer to keep acne away with a healthy lifestyle. Learning the best acne fighting methods for your skin might take some time. Keep with each method for a while.
Nothing will work overnight so give all of your trials at least a week or two to start working before moving on to something new.
